For almost a decade, David Sabry Guirgis, LMSW has delivered winning advice and strategy for candidates and causes across local, statewide, and national politics. He is currently a political consultant at Left Lane Strategies, where alongside founder Louis Di Paolo, he helps advise and develop messaging for the most progressive campaigns in New Jersey right now - from Ali Aljarrah for Passaic County Commissioner to Analilia Mejia for Congress.

David most recently served as a senior political and communications advisor for Jersey City Councilmember James Solomon and his successful campaign for Mayor of Jersey City, as well as a senior communications advisor for Councilmembers-elect Jake Ephros and Joel Brooks - the first open socialists elected to office in New Jersey in over a century. David also recently acted as a founding advisor to the Christopher Street Project, the nation's first electoral advocacy group solely dedicated to electing champions of transgender rights to Congress, and has been proud to work with such progressive/left standard-bearers as Zohran Mamdani, the Working Families Party, and Data for Progress.

As a ghostwriter and speechwriter, David has written in the voices of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, among others, and has offered communications consulting, media training, and spokesman services to national figures and electoral campaigns. David's writing has been placed in The Washington Post, The Nation, The Huffington Post, and The Star-Ledger, among other outlets. He has successfully placed stories in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, Gothamist, and Hell Gate, among others, and holds on-the-record experience with outlets including The Intercept and The Hill.

David currently serves as a board member at Answer, a national sex education resource for teachers and students housed at Rutgers University. He is a licensed social worker in New Jersey and New York and holds degrees from Northwestern University and Columbia University — transformative educations that changed his life for the better, which is why he implores them to stand up for democracy and freedom and against the genocide in Palestine.
